When and where is the next Carnival happening?

Naija Food Carnival 2026 is coming to Port Harcourt, Nigeria. The exact venue and date will be announced on our social media channels and via our newsletter, follow us and subscribe so you don't miss the announcement!

What time does the carnival start each day?

The Naija Food Carnival kicks off at 10:00 AM daily. Be early to catch all the action: from cooking competitions to cultural showcases and free tastings!

Is the event family-friendly?

Absolutely! We welcome families, with kid-friendly zones, games, mini food tastings, and fun activities designed for all ages. Children under 5 enter free with a paying adult.

What should I wear to the carnival?

Come comfortable, colorful, and cultural! You can wear casual outfits like jeans, tees, or Ankara-inspired street wear. Don't forget your dancing shoes; there'll be lots of music and movement!

Yes, international guests are highly welcome! The Naija Food Carnival offers a unique opportunity to experience Nigeria's rich culinary heritage. You may also contact our hospitality team for tourism guidance and accommodation recommendations.

Do I need a visa to attend from abroad?

Yes, international visitors will need a valid Nigerian visa. We recommend contacting your nearest Nigerian embassy or consulate. Invitation letters can be issued upon request to facilitate your travel process.

Will there be guided tours or cultural experiences?

How can I buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased securely through our website. We recommend booking early as slots sell out fast. Get your tickets here →

How do I receive my ticket after payment?

Your e-ticket with a unique QR code will be sent automatically to the email address you provided during purchase, typically within a few minutes of successful payment. Please check your spam folder if you don't see it.

Are tickets refundable?

Tickets are non-refundable but transferable. Please contact our support team at least 7 days before the event for any changes. Reach us at hello@naijafoodcarnival.com.

Are there VIP or group packages?

Yes! We offer exclusive VIP tickets with perks such as fast-track entry, front-row seating at demos, and access to our private tasting lounge. VVIP packages cover luxury seating for 10 with full concierge service. Group and family packages are also available.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept all major payment methods through Paystack, including debit/credit cards, bank transfers, and USSD payments.

How can I register as a food vendor or exhibitor?

Visit the Become a Vendor section on our website, fill out the application form, and submit all required details. Once approved, our vendor relations team will contact you with next steps.

What kind of vendors are allowed?

We welcome food vendors (traditional and modern), agricultural product sellers, kitchen brands, drink producers, craft artisans, and cultural brands aligned with our vision.

Are international food vendors accepted?

Yes. We encourage culinary fusion and global participation. International vendors must adhere to Nigeria's food safety standards and customs regulations.

Venue & Logistics

Will there be parking available?

Yes. Ample parking space will be available at the event venue. We also encourage the use of ride-hailing apps or public transport to reduce congestion.

Is the venue accessible to people with special needs?

Definitely. The event venue is wheelchair accessible, and we provide on-site support to ensure a comfortable experience for all attendees, including assistance for persons with disabilities.

Will there be ATMs or POS services on site?

Yes. Most vendors accept card payments, and mobile money options will be available. However, we advise bringing some cash for convenience.

Will there be vegetarian/vegan food options?

Solo Attendance

I don't know anyone attending. Can I still come alone?

Absolutely! Naija Food Carnival is a great place to meet new people. We create friendly zones and icebreaker activities designed to help solo attendees connect and feel at home.

Are there any special activities for solo participants?

Yes! Join our "Taste & Mingle" sessions, cultural games, or guided food walks, perfect for making new friends over shared meals and laughter.

Will I feel left out if I come alone?

Not at all. Many attendees come solo and leave with new friends, business contacts, or even future collaborators. The Carnival is designed to be inclusive, warm, and community-driven.

Security

Will there be security at the venue?

Yes. We have arranged for uniformed security personnel, including private security teams and support from local law enforcement, to ensure the safety of all attendees.

Will bags be checked at the entrance?

Yes, for everyone's safety, bag checks and security screening will be conducted at all entry points. We advise you to come early to avoid delays.

Can I bring sharp objects or weapons?

No. For everyone's safety, weapons or sharp objects are strictly prohibited. Anyone found with such items will be denied entry and handed over to authorities.

Are children safe to attend?

Absolutely. The carnival is family-friendly, and we have dedicated child-safe zones with proper supervision.

Are emergency services available on-site?

Yes. We have a standby medical response team, fire service support, and emergency evacuation protocols in place.

What should I do in case of an emergency?

Immediately alert the nearest security or event official, who will coordinate the appropriate response. Emergency exits will be clearly marked throughout the venue.

Will the event continue in bad weather?
